Covid-19 Precautions

To ensure you can safari as safely as possible, and enjoy your stay without worrying about coronavirus, we've put in place a number of measures to help to protect you.

All of our staff have been trained in hand hygiene, physical distancing and respiratory hygiene. They know to avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth, and not to come into work if they have symptoms consistent with the virus.

Any time that physical distancing isn't possible (i.e. a waiter bringing food to your table), our staff wear face coverings (and sometimes gloves). Face coverings are also available for guests to use if they would like to do so.

Hand sanitiser is available at reception, the bar and the dining area, as well as in the game drive vehicles and boats. We encourage guests to use it regularly, and our staff are also trained to sanitise their hands frequently.

Housekeeping are putting in extra cleaning measures, with special attention to touch-surfaces such as door handles and switches.

Should any guests fall ill during their stay, they would be advised to stay in their room until seen by a doctor. The Government of Tanzania have also provided a special emergency number for us to call in the event of a guest contracting covid-19.

As much of your safari experience is outdoors, the risk of transmission is already comparably low. The main structures at the camp are extremely well ventilated as they are open-sided, as are the game drive vehicles and boats. We hope that the additional precautions we've put in place help to calm any worries you may have, but please do send us an email if you have any questions.
