We offer packages for stays from 2 nights up to 5 nights, and cater to all types of travellers; ensuring an unforgettable safari filled with wildlife encounters, breathtaking landscapes and hopefully leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.

We offer a range of three safari package types: value, relaxed and enriched. Our safari packages include set activities, applicable Nyerere National Park fees, full board accommodation (3 meals per night), the Tourism Development Levy and 18% VAT. Extra activities may be added on at additional cost. The child rate is for children from 5 – 15 years old. Children under 5 years old stay for free.

Two Night Safari Packages

Value Safari Package - Two Nights
Per Person Sharing: Mudhut $530 / Tent $401
DAY ONE: Arrive at Selous River Camp before 3.30pm. Then at 4:00pm, set out on a relaxing Sunset Boat Safari (2.5hrs) on the Rufiji River. Your guide will stop the boat so you can enjoy a cool drink and watch the sunset before returning to camp to freshen up before drinks around the campfire and dinner. Overnight in your choice of accommodation.
DAY TWO: Rise early for breakfast before departing camp at 7:00am for an unhurried Full Day Game Drive (~10hrs) through the Nyerere National Park. Your guide will find a shady spot to stop during the hottest part of the day for a lovely, lazy bush lunch. Return back to camp during the late afternoon in time for a sundown drink and dinner. Overnight in your choice of accommodation.
DAY THREE: A relaxed breakfast before departure from camp.

Then at 1:00pm depart for a half day boat safari (5hrs) inside the Nyerere National Park with stop off at a sandbank for a cool drink at sunset. DAY TWO: Rise in the morning for breakfast before departing camp at 7:00am for a full day game drive (8-10hrs) inside the Nyerere National Park with a relaxed bush lunch during the hottest part of the day. The Nyerere National Park, part of the legendary Selous Game Reserve, is an elemental, one-of-a-kind place – vast African wilderness where, at times, you can truly feel like the only people in the world. A safari with Selous River Camp exploring this unique place, is a departure from the ordinary: a leisurely and authentic experience which is a world away from the conventional crowded cookie-cutter safari tours found elsewhere.
Our safaris are organised differently to many other camps. We plan everything with you in mind and don't want you to miss out on the magical time when the wildlife is most active, the temperature is mild, and the light is beautiful. During the hottest part of the day, when the wildlife is most scarce, you can indulge in a bush lunch and laze in the shade of a large tree, taking the time to absorb the dramatic landscape as life unfolds. Soaking up the unique atmosphere, symphony of sounds and earthy smells of the wilderness is as much a part of this experience as exploring its winding tracks on the hunt for wildlife … and that takes time.
This is safari done the way it should be: intimate, unhurried and wild.
