Explore Africa's largest national park, the Nyerere National Park - part of the legendary Selous Game Reserve - from this award-winning safari camp.
Perfectly situated on the banks of the mighty Rufiji River, and right on the border of the Nyerere National Park, Selous River Camp offers breathtaking views, authenticity and value for money in a stunning setting.
This unique camp’s accommodation features only five secluded, spacious “Mudhut” rooms, each with river views; and four comfortable canvas safari tents, dotted in the dappled shade of the camp’s woodland. A variety of safaris are on offer, giving you the choice of how you want to uncover the Selous and experience its wildlife.
Walking into the shared guest area upon arrival is a real ‘wow’ moment. Overlooking the river, the centrally-situated bar and dining area are perfect for enjoying sundowners; and the camp’s sparkling riverbank swimming pool provides views of the seasonal hippo pods below. Imagine sharing your safari sightings around a crackling campfire, enjoying the spectacular view as the sun dips below the horizon.

Our camp location: you can’t get closer to the park - which cuts out wasting time on long drives before starting your safari - and the views from camp are stunning. The woodland setting provides shade during the hottest parts of the day, and attracts wildlife like monkeys and elephants.
