The perfect place to call home while you enjoy a safari of a lifetime
Selous River Camp is a small safari camp nestled within woodland overlooking the magnificent Rufiji River, on the border of the wild Nyerere National Park - part of the vast Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. We have a wide range of accommodation styles to suit everyone’s budgets. You will find the atmosphere in camp is intimate and friendly, and the service personal and professional.
The camp was built using as many locally-sourced, sustainable materials as possible and blends into the natural environment, minimizing any disturbance to the surrounding wildlife and their habitats. Supporting the local community is a key principle, being involved in development projects in the local village of Mloka, is especially important to us.
A down-to-earth, relaxed space to call home. Watch magical sunsets on the shimmering river, wake to the dawn chorus of morning birdsong, cool down in our swimming pool, relax in a hammock in the shade. Karibu!
