Camping on safari is an unforgettable experience which allows you to truly connect with nature. Drift off to sleep serenaded by the sounds of the wild and wake up to soft rays of the rising sun peeking through the canvas.

Located in the woodland campsite (a short distance away from the river), our simple tents are furnished with two single beds, canvas safari chairs, a small table and palm matting.

The separate, shared bathrooms, which have running hot water, are clean and airy and only a short walk from the tents. Tents are lit by solar lighting, and a charging point is available at the bar to charge any batteries.

Designed to be as affordable as possible without sacrificing your comfort.

The campsite is lit in the evenings with paraffin lamps. Bed linen, a torch, towels, and soap are all provided.

Children under the age of 14 must share with an adult. Tents can get warm during the hottest part of the year (Oct-Feb), if you are particularly sensitive to heat we would suggest one of our Mudhuts instead.

Please note that wildlife does visit the camp! (Common visitors: elephants, blue monkeys, angola black & white colobus monkeys, yellow baboons, bushbucks, elephant shrews, zanj sun squirrel, red bush squirrel, red duikers, monitor lizards, suni, bush babies, banded mongoose, slender mongoose, genets, civets and bushpigs.) We always have a watchman close by for your peace of mind.

What People Are Saying

“Being the age I am, I needed to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom (shared, short walk from the tent). The first night I awoke at about 2:30 am. I carefully peeked out of my tent and then began to make my way to the bathroom, seemingly alone. After a short few seconds, to my relief, I was being escorted by one of the night guards. I really loved falling asleep to the "sounds of Africa," which included monkeys and bush babies.”

“Me and my son stayed in a tent with comfortable beds for 4 nights. The surroundings were very nice and the animals were very close, just what we wanted.”

— Katarina, TripAdvisor

“We stayed at the nice large tents and shared facilities were clean and perfect. If you are really interested in African wildlife you surely heard not only about the big five but also about the small five of which the Elephant-shrew is one member, easy to observe inside the camp (it took me 13 trips to Africa before seeing my first Elephant-shrew right in front of my tent).
In summary a great place to stay and incredibly good value for money: you get everything for a more than honest price.”

“Accommodation was excellent, (we stayed in the tents in the forest clearing - a really authentic experience with Black and White Colobus Monkeys and Baboons as our alarm clocks!)”
